Hi everybody, I’m Jim from France and I try not to be a flashaolic (but it’s not working).
I’m following this forum for quite a while now and I’ve learn a lot of thinks, thank for this massive source of information (but my wallet disagree).
Regarding the amount of very good reviews there I’m not sure I can had a lot of value, but I’m glad to participate.
I already own a bit more than 40 flashlights and I’m now focusing on hi cri led and recent xhp.
1st flashlight (or assimilated): a small 4.5v bulb
Latest one: Armytek Wizard Pro v3 (XHP50)
Next one will probably be an Zebralight SC600 Mk III and that’s not reasonable but I’m very tempted by a Niwalker MM18 with xhp…
Welcome to BLF! Glad you decided to join us! Although, joining here is moving in the wrong direction if you’re trying NOT to become a flashaholic! :smiling_imp:
By creating an account here, you’ve just silently crossed over the event horizon. On this side of the event horizon, the pull towards flashlight addiction is so strong, nothing, not even your wallet, can escape. All paths will eventually lead you to buying more flashlights. There is no escape.
I somewhat followed the same pattern maybe… bought a SK68 clone on FT three years ago, as a side effect to ordering vape gear… and something like fifty lights latter i started to get a bit more involved here… and totally shifted toward more lumens and better tints and even more addictive lights! …and i often end up with not one but two or three of each. And new and better lights keep coming up! No way out!
WTH! most are cheaper then a decent ‘plat du jour’ plus wine…
PS: did you see the Astrolux S41 quad high CRI 1400+ lumen pocket 18350 copper head beauty? - it’s back ordered right now though. http://budgetlightforum.com/comment/956865
Salut Pat, I can see that there is a few french guys there.
Yes I saw the S41 looks pretty good even with the potential polarity issue. I’ve ordered one S41, nichia of course, mid mai and according to banggood it’s been shipped today. 2 weeks for France usually…
