Helo with REAL Output runtime

Just to add, I do not need turbo or strobe mode, ideal would be one mode flishlight on/off with 700-800 lumens long time.
I do not need to see 700m, 30-40m is good, cold/warm white is not important.

My gosh, are the reviews correct that this uses a built-in cell?!

Many on this forum won’t buy lights with built-in cells due to inability to swap to a freshly charged cell when you need more light.

The EDC35 will do around 800 lumens for 170 minutes. If this is close enough to what you want, buy that.

Wow, that is a remarkable efficient flashlight, according to the graph.

6000mAh 21700, means 22,2Wh capacity.

Let’s take (for ease) solely the 4 hour mark; 22,2Wh devided by 4(h) equals 5,55Wh per hour. The output levels of turbo, 6 and 5 fluctuate a bit, but it’s pretty safe to say they average 700lm (easily) over those 4 hours.
Deviding the 700lm by 5,55Wh means ~126lm/W.

When you take into account that all 3 modes started with a higher lumen output (before dropping down), that the 700lm average I took is was a low/safe average and the exact average output over those 4 hours is even (a bit) higher and that they also ran past the 4 hour mark, means that the actual efficiency actually would be even higher than 126lm/W.

If I made a mistake in my calculations, please tell me; I barely slept last night and I not exactly on my sharpest right now!

You’ve got a couple of typos (5.55wh per hour- you mean watts) but I think okay?

I did same back of envelope maths for the lower mode, I eyeball it to be average 425lm for 8.25h = 157lm/w.

You’re 100% right, dumb mistake, but I already expected something like that, given my lack of sleep!

That’s a very tall order for an EDC size flashlight unless you’re okay with built in batteries or 21700 size lights, which in my opinion are too big for EDC. Check out the NEXTORCH TA70. That one has very good sustained output, or somwthing like a Fireflies X4 Stellar with cool white leds. You might also dig up a ThruNite T2. I tested that onw and my first test was down on output about 20% from my posted figures. For anyrhing else, you’re getting into larger 21700 lights like Acebeam P17, ThruNite TC20v2, Fireflies E04, X1L, etc. The Convoy M21K is a great perfirmer, but again, large.

Lhp531 5000K @±6W will do +900 lumens so a 5A buck driver set to 50% will do the job just fine. With EVE 58E this should give you about 3 hours runtime.

Again excellent recommendations. Now it is more complicated for me, before this post I was looking for battery capacity and size and how many lumens flashlight have. Now I search for drivers, lumens, candelas, LED type and efficiency.

For me it is little complicated but you push me to think about it in other way. Now I would like to have few of the one you recommended, however some of the recommended I can’t get soon so I must think about that too.
Good thing is that I am sure one of this will be good choice for long run.
THANK you all for good advices.

Please feel free to write some new/better (if any) in next few days, I will order it mon/tue.
