Help, can't remember a brand...

It was a few months ago, I was browsing a flashlight company’s website on my phone. I want to find them again but cannot for the life of me remember which brand it was.

All I remember is they had a few magnetic control ring lights that came in a handful of color options, and I think there might have been a theme of pointy crenelated bezels.

Ring any bells?

Could it have been a Nitecore SRT line of torches. It comes in a number of light colors.

I put a link to there current model, and at the bottom of that page is a list of discontinued models you may have seen months ago. Those had crenelated bezels.

Nope, I actually own two SRTs already…

I guess I should’ve listed all the rotary light brands I already know about:

Nitecore
Sunwayman
Jetbeam
NiteEye
Fenix
Sofirn

“Pointy bezels” and “magnetic rings” makes me instantly think of JetBeam and nothing else. Was it maybe a more boutique/custom manufacturer?

Pointy bezels qualifier comes secondary to magnetic rings. Definitely wasn’t JetBeam. The website was built on a white backdrop if that’s any help whatsoever… Maybe a more boutique or custom, I remember being surprised to find out that they had magnetic ring lights because they didn’t show up in any Google searches before or since. Wasn’t a mainstream name, I don’t think.

None of those, unfortunately, but that ZeroHour just made second place on my wish list.

Whoever they were had pages and pages of lights, and they had separate listings for different configurations of the same light as opposed to selectable options one one page. If that helps at all.

So it was a vending website rather than an individual store. Could be anything

No, it was definitely an individual company.

I almost want to say the name was related to a female name (ReyLight comes to mind) but that’s not getting me anywhere.

Who else besides JetBeam makes colorful finish lights with pointy bezels and has a white website?

Do you remember the price range? Was it super high like custom lights? Decently budget friendly?

Not ridiculous, but on the higher side for sure.

Could try checking the browsing history on your phone?

Do you remember the size of the lights? 14500, 18650, multiple cell etc.?

Just a few more:

- foxfury (if that does not sound like a lady?)

  • elzetta

And everthing touched by Paul Kim (former design head of Surefire) has crenelations. Like a Jetbeam. Try to look for PK Designlab.

HDS Not a super spikey bezel but………………………….

Not super budget friendly but, not out of reach either.

Wasn’t it a Peak flashlight?

Some brands have rotary rings, like Nebo or Nextorch, but I’m not sure it could be them…
Niwalker seemed to have one too: Niwalker 600N1 1 x 18650 / 2 x CR123 700 Lumen XM-L U2 LED Flashlight
As did Thrunite

This might help?

was it custom or factory made?

I’ll be spending some time on this today.

Of course, my browsing history is only stored for 30 days and the stuff I’m looking for was back in December.

Wow, this is like Al Bundy trying to remember the name of that song….

Right? I’m beginning to think that my brain has blended several different elements together. But I swear I was looking at a brand I had never heard of and being surprised that they had variable magnetic ring lights.

Maybe it was all a dream.
