I’m fed up with my headlamp which uses 3AAA batteries. I got stuck off-roading at night and batteries did not last long at all. I want a headlamp for running and also camping so it needs to bring a flood and have good battery life. I am wondering if it’s worth paying the extra for a zebralight h600 or go for the cheaper skilhunt h03 or something else around that price range.

skilhunt h03 is a great choice.
What 3aaa light do you have now?

Inexpensive, built-in battery, lightweight and will do what you required.
High-quality product as well.

The H03 gets a lot of love here so that’s what I bought. It’s been about perfect for my needs.

I wouldn’t buy a light I may need to use for extended periods of time that had a built in battery.
I want to be able to swap battery and keep using it.
Never owned a ZebraLight, simply because I see it as… I would rather have 2X Skilhunt H03’s for less money than one ZL .
BTW I do have 2X H03. Both NW version, one’s not stock any more, one is.
Only drawback of the H03 is that you need to turn the tailcap 1/4 turn to keep it from turning on while rolled up in the headband, while in your pocket. I use mine everyday and now it’s just muscle memory to lock it out or on with tailcap. I also require the magnetic tail in a utility light. The light arrives with magnet out, put it in if you want it.

I have one of those coast headlamps, it works decent just short runtime on high. I figure 18650 will have a lot more runtime. So the headband for the H03 is secure enough for running ?
