I’ve just bought a couple of the CREE-CXA2530 LEDs and all I want is a cheap mains driver that allows me to adjust the brightness in a flicker free manner as I will be using it for photography, I’m not looking to driver them hard either as I only want light weight cooling on it so around 600mah should be fine, Any suggestions?
They come with 2 trimpots which you adjust CC-CV, it can be current controlled or voltage controlled depending on which limit it hits first, ideally it should be current controlled. Eg. Setting your voltage to the max allowable by the LED and play with the current. You can attach a secondary external potentiometer to adjust the output more easily, but it will require some fiddling with resistors.
