Okay I have what is probably a very basic question I was Installing a 17mm qlite chip on C8 brass pillar a d the ground wire came off as I was feeding through to the emitter side so I retinned the wire and resoldered my question is how can I check if I did it right beforw soldring tothe pill and it is a mldded driver the only one I have that I am running behind for a friend so please iif anyone has a way please let me know I do have a meter Thanks
Are you trying to test it before putting it in the light?
If you have an ohmmeter, touch one probe to the led end of L- wire and the other probe to the ground ring. Meter should read a very high value but not infinite. If it is zero then you have made a solder bridge from led- pad on the driver to the ground ring and need to fix that or you will be bypassing the driver and running it direct drive.
Make a picture and post it.

I assume you are talking about the negative LED wire. Check for connectivity between the wire and the first leg of the 7235 chips with a multimeter. If it beeps, that’s good. Then check for connectivity between the wire and the outer ground ring. If it beeps, that’s bad.
I will do it after I shake the cob webs out of my eyes this a huge help.
