Don’t understand why. Bought a ultrafire 3200mah battery and insert it in, with the (-) in first. When it is not working, I immediately took out and I saw smoke.
I do not know what happened. Now, when I put in other batteries, I realise that the torch will not work. What happens?
You put a crappy unprotected battery in the wrong way. + first. I guess your driver is fried.
I am an idiot. I realised the light is still working fine after I change the sign.
But I guess the ultrafire is dead now? Seriously I stunned by the smoke.
amazingly, the ultrafire battery still give 4.08v and 4.11v after the smoke. Can I start to use it again?
NO. Dispose all ultrafire batteries in a safe way.
I would not use a single Ultrafire in my lights (and I have personal experience).
I would never ever use 2 or more Ultrafires in series! NEVER!

So your driver might still be alive, thats good. But seriously, get rid of Ultrafire cells. You can get good Sanyo based cells for a few bucks.
