Help ID these IMR tool-pack pulls please

I have these 2 sets of IMR cells pulled fm rigid HD tool packs (regular rigid, non HD packs contain samsung INR18650-15M's). Purple ones from china, grey ones from Canada. They're in excelent condition, both packs had one physically damaged cell so the protection circuits shut the whole thing down and the rest were all at >4v when pulled!

The moli cells are 1400mah made by molicel.

Not sure about the Chinese ones.

I’ll see if I can find a link to the moli data sheet.

I recently pulled both of those cells from ???Ryobi packs ??( i forget ) Both had relativly high voltages so I was somewhat hopeful but they have had a hard time holding the 4.2V charge given them on 4/1/14 after sitting... Every moli I've ever pulled was terrible ... seems like I've thrown about 20 away .

hope you have better luck

I have seen Molis in Ridgid and also this 12V Milwaukee pack.

All Molis I have ever seen have been good.

Those LS Chinese cells, I have seen in some of the older Ridgid and Ryobi packs. I have never seen them in the newer packs.

The second set are Tianjin lishen lr1865be 1300Mah, did you get them from a rigid tool pack?

Your milwakee drill pack looks a little newer than the ones I've pulled my molis from :P

i'd be happy to eat my words but i keep tossing them

I have 4 of the purple and 8 of the molis in a box that I noted and charged to 4.20/4.19 on april 4th 2014 all of the molis have dropped down to 4.06 to 4.03

and the purple chinese cells though faring better are still pretty badly hurt as well they are between 4.14 and 4.12 V I'm guessing all of them are going back into the recycling bin..I still have 4 more ryobi packs left to open

Those moli cells are really good. Once I extracted more than 10 year old 1500mAH cells from laptop pack and still give me 1000-1100mAH. all 9 cells nearly same and working.
Another pack which is 5-6 years old with 2200mAH moli cells give 2000mAH. all cells working.

I thought I saw HJK saying that it was normal for a cell to
drop in voltage after charging and stabilize at a lower voltage.
What is the general opinion of new Moli batteries ?
Why don’t I see more about the Canadian batteries ?
And where are the new tesla batteries going to be made,
and in what form ?

charged a few of the Moli’s at 2A last night, the first time I’ve tried to charge any of my pack pulls at over 1A, they took it perfect, I taped a micro-k type t-couple to one (plugged into my DMM logging the temp every 60sec) and it didnt get above 108*F. I’ve been nothing but satisfied with these cells, I’m not using the purple Chinese ones very much but they’re holding their charge well and these Moli’s are performing excellent!

Good to hear, People really don’t like moli batteries but i have found them to really nice and will take a charge well.
