Help me choose a flashlight

I’m looking for a replacement for my Emisar D1, Lumintop SDmini. (Emisar D1 hot, Lumintop-cold light) We need one flashlight for $ 30-35 (a combination of the range and width of light)

I don’t have one but, I hear it is a great light. If that is what you like I am pretty sure it is a great little thrower. I also believe you can get two body tubes, one for 26650 and one for 23650. Gives you some more options for how to carry it. The Kaidomain and Sofirn C8’s are great throwers as well. Might want to take a look at those.

Well I am not a expert in flashlights. I am sure a few other guys will chime in with great ideas for pocket throwers. The SC26 seems like it may work very well for you. I have two SD Mini’s and that is pretty much all the throw i need. I have bigger throwers that just sit around on the shelf and never get used.

Have you taken a look at the new Lumintop ODL20C?

No I don’t have a NW or warm light on my SDmini. I have the XP-L HI. I like it for what it is. Probably 6500K or so, just guessing. It throws well with still a bit of spill. I like warmer tints on my smaller lights but on my throwers and big lumen flooders I prefer cooler tints. Just my personal preference.

The reason the Emisar D1 gets hot is because it’s a lot of lumens for a small torch. You have to either get a bigger, heavier torch or settle for less lumens.

If you are prepared to go a bit bigger you could look at the Emisar d4s I guess
