Recently I have bought this 26650 diving flash light (Aliexpress link)
But I am not satisfied with its output current and modes, as now its’ output is 1.5A on high.
I would like to turn it into 1-mode (high) flashlight with 3A-3.5A output current.
As you can see, it will turn on and off with a magnetic ring, which turns on the hall effect sensors on the driver.
I took some photos of the driver, and will much appreciate if you could help me modding this driver.
I still want it to work with the magnetic ring, maybe it is possible to add another board of AMC7135? if yes, how to do it?
I think this driver uses these http://www.sztuofeng.com/pdf/SI2301.pdf
Pfets. I had this datasheet opened another tab because the M6 driver has one of them. These FETs have fairly high resistance and if they only get PWMed in parallel you could probably use an additional nanjg board.
Are the two small FETs(A1SHB) in parallel? I can’t see the gate trace of the left one…could you please investigate that.
How does the light work, you twist the ring and the modes change? How many modes?
If all you want is a one mode direct drive that is easy enough to do. You should be able to simply move the negative wire to the outside negative contact. You can regulate the resistance with your wire gauge. Thin enough wire should leave you in that range. If you put heavy gauge wire then you will need to go with a copper star so you don’t fry the emitter.
You could also try bypassing the 10k surface resistors and see what happens.
