Help modding tailswitch on this Eagtac D25A

The tailcap switch on this Eagtac D25A is too recessed ontop of requiring a fair amount of force to fully click. Any good replacement switches, rubber boots, or tailcaps I can swap in or mod to make the switch more protruded?

Have you checked kaidomain? They have a lot of options. From your pic it looks like a 14mm boot might be too small. I don’t see 15mm. I’d try a 16x8 or 16x8.5. For the switch, I’d first try gluing a little extension onto the emd of the switch. As a backup, I’d buy a few different switches (I haven’t looked at what KD has too closely). All these parts are pretty cheap so buy extra options to try.

You could fairly easily make a resin disc that protrudes further. UV resin is so easy to set, you can build it up in layers or produce molds.

I have a D25A, I’ll dig it out and have a look at the tailcap. Maybe a 5mm-10mm thin acrylic disc inside the switch boot may get rid of some of the squidge by preventing the switch nub sinking into the rubber.

This is a great idea Rich. I’m gonna have to steal this. Perfect timing as I have a Mechanic L! Pro UV light enroute.
