I’m hoping someone can help me source a TIR. I recently impulse-bought the Sofirn SC02. I knew I wouldn’t care for it, and I don’t, but I couldn’t resist the $5 deal. Anyway, it has an interesting surprise: this flatter-than-normal TIR. It measures about 18mm (d) by 6mm (h). The beam actually looks pretty good considering the limited height of the optic. I already have a built in mind to use this where there isn’t much room in the head and I’d rather not make it a mule.
Does anyone know where these are sold? I’ve tried searching google, Ali, Amazon, etc. for various combinations of the following: Flat, TIR, 18x6, acrylic, PMMA, optic… nothing. I suppose I could ask Sofirn but I thought I’d check here first.
Sorry for the bad pic. The “inner” side, what is facing out in the pic, has the shaping that does the magic. The outer side, face down in the pic, is flat except for a small shelf cutout around the perimeter for an o-ring.
