Help with Securitylng SRK style JB Driver

Hi all

I have just received my 1st SRK styel Light ( Securitylng ) from Aliexpress and it is 7x XM-L2

well i was happy because the photos on aliexpress were showing the Red JB driver as i know it was reported as a good driver after modding

i modded the driver by using the battery (+) before the resistors like in the next pic

My problem is i am getting only 5 A on high and i did that test by removing the driver and connected it to the leds outside the light to get the best possible amp reads i used a good DMM , short thick copper wires and good drain cells

So is it another driver than the other Securitylng lights ,or is it a different mosfet on my driver than yours ?

and one last question how much your red JB Driver gave you on high after modding ?

It’s definitely a different FET than Im used to seeing. Do yo have a better FET you can try?

If/when you do swap FET’s I would recommend adding a C1.

I don’t have any other flash light driver Specific FETs , is C1 is a heatsink for the FET ?

C1 is a capacitor between BATT+ and GND. It’s not required but I always do. It can be about any value, does t even need to be a SMD part, you can use a electrolyte cap. In SRK’s I build I use 220uF but really that’s cause I bought 1000 of them from China a while ago.

so can i simply change the FET with this and it will work just like that ?

And please how much would the good JB driver gives on high after modding
