hi all, im a complete newb from the UK, still reading lots trying to get informed.
I have ordered a solarforce L2P package with batteries charger extension tube for 2*18560’s and a XM-L2 U2 3mode.
I know solarforce drop ins are not that well regarded, but I couldnt find any other drop ins for sale in the UK, so this will be a stop-gap until I can work out which to get once I can source them.

The SF drop-ins aren’t that bad, they’re much better than the cheap generic ones.
Hi. Where abouts are you in the country?
You might want to double check the voltage on your SF drop in, to make sure it can support 2 x li-ion.

I second ryansoh3, you will love your setup anyway, especially if you’re new to flashlights.
You may want to check out on how to wrap a SF drop in with aluminium or copper foil for heat sinking and a simple multimeter for checking the voltage of your cells.
But beware of this forum, it will steal your money ! :bigsmile:

nikanon, cheers, just watched a video earlier on using aluminium foil to heat sink. I already got the feeling from reading threads here that money was going to be easily spent.

If you’ve got Solarforce gear then Solarforce flashlight sales H.K. is the place to buy from. Takes about 3 weeks to arrive but the savings are worth it.
When I saw the prices from Solarforce Flashligt Sales H.K. compared to what I’d paid from U.K. based sellers then it made my eyes water.
If you want a way of increasing the light output and making your drop-ins look good then these lenses are a good cheap upgrade.
The Solarforce drop-ins aren’t bad, and a lot better than some offerings.

Howdy and welcome aboard. I’m sure you will enjoy your solarforce light, they are actually fairly well regarded on this site. It’s “that other” site that has a few members that look down on anything that costs less than $100. Around these parts we tend to be more impressed with a good solid light than a big price tag and solarforce makes some real good solid lights.
