Hi from North Carolina

I’ve been a flashaholic since 2005 ,this is my second forum for flashlights , I just got back into them ,I had throat cancer and a heart attack over a year ago and still recovering but doing much better now , I used to mood fl but it seems much has changed ,lol as usual. So I’m back learning again ,my first light back was the unique fire uf2100 with a XML enjoyed and wow very cool and makes my malkoff p7 look weak lol just ordered a z1 ,triple beam tech 26650 model from tmart and tank703 wow I’m like a kid in a candy store again
Thanks for having me and can’t wait to post up findings of lights I buy

Hi Madi05, welcome to BLF. Man, you've been in the wars, very glad you're over the worst You're obviously an old hand at this, I'm sure many of us noobs can learn from you. Good to have you with us.

+1

Welcome!

Welcomed to BLF. You’ve got some catching up to do.

Welcome. I'm from NC too, Charlotte area.

Thanks guys, added a dry to the catching up phase lol,so far I’m loving the XML and r5 ,when I left r2 was the bet thrower, looks like o one even messes with those any longer ,lol

Welcome!

When bad things happen, any day you wake up seems to be a good day. Changes one's perspective on life.

Glad to see you back in the thick of things! Last time I left flashlights, the P7 was all the rage, now no one wants them, but the D bin was the only emitter I ever found that would take 4 NiMHs direct and never turn blue. Came back and had never heard of an XM-L, but tried one right away.

Haha I still own and use the p7 spear clone , do u remember that one? Hmmm ,its 2 mode ,hmm I’m wondering would a XML make it brighter ,and could I just swap that put only?

I have two very trusty P7s. One is in an honest 700 lumen bar mount bike light that uses 4x18650 battery pack. I get 3.5 hours run time on high and it's built like a tank. Other is a C8 style flashlight. Not as bright as an XM-L but it gets the job done. I expect I will be using both for years to come.

@Madi05: I used to live in Charlotte and a little burgh called Mt. Gilead. My brother is in Raleigh. Hope I can retire in the Carolinas someday....

I have a buddy who makes knives in Chicago .horanknives.com? But yeah NC is a great place to raise a family, I live in Wilson bout 30 mins from raliegh, nice to meet you,lmk when u make back to the tar heel state, lol
