I have never lived through a tornado. They seem absolutely evil.
Been in 2 of them and near dozens. Aint something to mess with.
Unfortunately extreme weather patterns and events are going to be the new normal for the planet. As temperatures continue to rise the extremes are probably going to get even worse.

Yep, that’s the general consensus of scientists around the world. 
4 years ago we had an EF4 tear through our town, it caused 19 deaths and 87 other people were injured.
The tornado basically stopped across the street from the hospital.
We take them a lot more seriously now.

In 1987 we drove through Saragosa TX. We were stunned. There was like no town left. The rest of the world didn’t know for a few days because everything was down.
We saw the typical stuff. Metal roof parts wrapped around snapped off phone poles. Stuff driven through other stuff that should not be possible.
30 people died, 141 injured. Which is like almost the entire population. It’s a tiny town. Took just 10 - 15 minutes to destroy everything.
205mph + winds.
