I wonder when are we going to see the laser flashlight technology be implemented like BMW was doing it with the concept cars, have any of you seen it yet?
IIRC it was a blue laser pointed at a phosphor film that produced blindingly white light after being exited by the laser. I’ll see if I can find the link… Here it is!
I know
I was searching something like this but with better build quality, it’s a P60 with a laser, but since it’s plastic it isn’t much useful for XM-L
But then the only result I found was this, and I like the comparison very much so I bumped the post so other people can see it (also, personally I think that when somebody shares something it’s nice to see others comments)
That’s probably a 405nm laser. So it’s like your regular fluorescent light (also converting UV to white light), just that in this case it’s more focusable/directional.
Few days ago a friend took my laser and started pointing at me. Got my DRY out of my pocket and flashed him for a second in turbo mode, he saw black spots for the rest of the night :d.
It depends. Green has a noticeably lower divergence even for the higher powered greenies. They’d be better slightly longer distance burning.
Blue is the most powerful but it’s a multimode laser and the beam quality is not so good, it diverges more + does not have a dot beam so power density is not as good. But when focused to nearer distances like less than 6 feet, nothing can touch it due to the availability of higher power. And also due to the better value for $$$ in terms of wattage per dollar.
I am not good at explaining things and not really an expert, you need to read up on laserpointerforums for all the technical stuff + safety.
