How can I test my new batts?

I’ve just ordered 6 of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/360518352264 (6 total Samsung 2800 18650’)from the seller ECOLUX

I am used to having nasty “trust”fire batts and I know they are not to believed but I wanted to check out my new purchases somehow.

I’ve got a B6AC “hobby” charger and a few other bits and bobs dotted around (a few DMMs etc) but I was wondering what ways I could test the batts to see if they are real or not.

you will need a cradle/holder for 1 battery, then its a case of charge and discharge taking note of capacity,
disregard the charge capacity as there are losses involved
so from full 4.2v discharge at 1 Amp down to 3.00v
this will give you a general indication of usable capacity
probably expect in the region of 2450mah
let us know the results too

ps i think they were rather expensive!

where can I get them cheaper then? £4.92 a battery delivered seems okay but if you know of much cheaper I’ll be happy to hear it

lol  didn`t see the 2 X ……

Yep, so it does seem a good price which makes me worry that it might be TOO much of a good price.

I’ll dump them on the charger and see what happens later tonight if I get a chance.

I’ll take apart one of my old chargers and use it as a battery cradle. Yank the innards out of it and use it just to charge / discharge batts.
