I’ve seen a similar thing in a nimh AA, but not an 18650. The label advertises a ridiculous 3800mah, but the seller claims a reasonable 1600mah. Are quality charging circuits really small enough to fit in this size?
Yep, a quality charging circuit can be packed into a very small space. But when a company starts out with lies right on the label you know they can’t be trusted, at all.
Looks like they've miss spelled their own name ......

I wouldn’t touch it.
Marc.
at best an 18500 cell is 1900mah from a quality brand.
thats the biggest cell one could use for such a device.
adjusted for a crap cell most likely to make that thing to its price point i would be surprised to get more than 500-600 mah.
yet more pure junk nothing to see here move along……
I presume it’s 50 mm cell approx. I’m not sure exactly what cell. So you can work it out from there, taking into account the fact it may also be a crap cell. The fact is what you have here is a double whammy, crap cell and possible crap charger.
Marc.
Well the seller only claims 1600mah. I’m tempted to send a pair to HKJ just to see how bad they really are.
i dont even believe that.
i guess we will all find out when someone wastes their money tests them.
From my experience, small, simple charging circuits significantly interfere with radio and TV reception. Not something I’d bite.
i doubt you would get interference from a tp4056.its a linear regulator.and the most likely chip to use in such a device.
since a 2 cell holder and a 4056 board can be had for about $3 total i would (and have) made a simple charger for real 18650.
this thing is no doubt a poorly designed gimmick.
