Hi guys, I can’t seem to get the star out . After removing the screws, I tried to pry it off but started to really damage the cooper star. I also tried turning the star but man it’s really glued on there good.
I just bought a LD-1 and dedomed XPG2 on a Noctigon and I can’t even get the stock star off. Any suggestions or tricks?
Remove the driver first, then look from inside the driver bay and see if you can see the edge of the star. If you can you can put a small screwdriver on it and push it out with a few whacks (odd, perhaps, but I use a 1” wood chisel to give the small screwdriver a couple of whacks to bump the star out).
Otherwise, I usually heat the star with the soldering iron then pry it off from the side or even the push from underneath. The heat causes the glue to weaken.
