How do you carry your light? vs Clips

I love the pocket clip...for example I EDC a streamlight stylus pro and I just clip it into my pants front pocket...works perfect for me...

But a lot of lights dont come with a clip, Im talking about AA, AAA, or 2AA, 2AAA, etc...so I guess you use the lanyard or just put the light loose in your pocket? (Then it may get scratched up, or fall out when you sit in your car seat, or couch, etc...)

And some clips are so terrible, clip is attached at the middle section of the light? Or with the lens pointing up? Etc.

How do most people carry their lights?

I have an

E01 (1*AAA), no clip

EOS A3 (1*AAA), clip

LD10 (1*AA), clip

RC-29 (1*AA), no clip...

LD20 clip sucks so much I just removed it...its too sharp on my hand, and can only be attached lens up.

And the light needs to be able to stay clipped while I run or bike .

never been a fan of the clip..I am a security officer so i'm really used to a holster..i've found the itp sa1 holster works for all my EDC's...currently the zlt sc600..I fear the clip would harm the finish..the itp holster is so unobtrusive that I have no need for pocket carry other than my itp a1 which is in a small case with an extra 16340 as a back up light...

I prefer to carry an inferior light with a decent clip, to a superior light with no or a bad clip.

I prefer the types where you can "deep pocket carry" the light. That way it is less likely to get in the way/get lost.

If I'm wearing a belt then it's a Solarforce M6 in a holster if not then it's an l2p with a clip in my front pocket.

No clip, lanyard, or holster. I don’t carry a light unless it’s in a backpack, coat pocket, or loose in my pants pocket if I know I’m going to be needing a light.
It could be a headlamp or a single AAA worn necklace style and tucked under my shirt.
Otherwise I use lights by location…one is in my car, on my nightstand, etc. I don’t EDC other than a plastic key chain button style light.
