How do you find out where your packages are using the tracking number for your order from China?

When you purchase anything from China they give you a tracking number and once it is arrives at the mail facility the tracking stops unlike DHL, USPS and Fedex etc.

How do you guys find any other sites that can track these chinese packages?

I have tried Aust Post Tracking and the sites that say they can track just about anything and rarely do you get any info about the whereabouts of your package.

I give up!!

Cheers

Not sure how it works in Oz, but US Postal tracking accepts any tracking number, after it arrives at a USPS facility. I've had some tracking numbers provided from China or HK that I couldn't figure out where to track before they got to the US.

Packages sent to Australia via Hong Kong Post registered air mail, for example, can’t be tracked once they’ve left Hong Kong. It’s the same with China Post, Singapore Post and indeed the standard postal services of most other countries. You need to use a service like EMS if you want proper tracking.

Period.

Interesting site Zeremefico, haven’t seen it before

That wont help the OP because Australia post just doesn’t provide tracking information for these parcels. The last entry you’ll ever see will be the date it left for Australia. That’s it.

I sometimes use www.packagetrackr.com

I have a URL here for tracking all hk post registered air mails:
http://sc.hongkongpost.com/gb/app3.hongkongpost.com/CGI/mt/enquiry.jsp

As hk post limitation, most of packages have only when they arrive and leav hongkon.
A few contries can has more info like when this mail is delivered to consignee.
That is it.

I hope somehow it will help you.

It is reliable & supports multiple tracking nrs.

In the case of Hong Kong post specifically, Australia post only provides tracking for articles sent via Hong Kong post speedpost (not normal registered air mail).

How can shops send China Airmail for an order of only $15?

China Airmail sounds fast but apparently it is a slow boat from China type affair.

Sometimes I get offered tracking for about $2 extra but tracking stops after it arrives at the mail facility.

So what good is paying for tracking when they use China Post Airmail?

Most of these Chinese traders do not offer any other form of delivery on their website.

Cheers

Same on this side of the globe, it’s blank from when it departs HK. Swedish post do not use foreign references.

I live in Istanbul, and I track my packages when it left HK/china from Turkish PTT’s own tracking page.
And sometimes I go to post office to get the package if I see it is ready for delivery on the tracking page.

I also use www.track-trace.com site, for easy tracking. It opens HK post and PTT’s pages, and stores tracking numbers for convenience.

I never bother as it doesn’t work. I think it benefits the seller as the PO scans the code when I pick it up.

This is a very useful thread, it should be stickied, When you don’t know if the a package is coming from China, Hong Kong, Singapore or anywhere else on earth there are links here that solve that problem easily. I was lucky, a seller i was dealing with replied to my message asking where my package was shipping from, because i had no idea, all i had was a tracking number with no source country, orddered from a website that i had ordered from before but the package was sent from a different country that i never would have thought to check.

thanks….that site worked for me

I prefer this one: Trackingmore.com, it supports 500+ couriers all over the world.
