Hi,
I understand that the thicker it is, that Fujik glue (https://www.fasttech.com/p/1049304) takes longer, but I was wondering, when you use it to pot (so lots of it), does anyone know how long it takes for it to cure/dry?
Thanks,
Jim

I don’t really know myself. I guess it depends on how much you used.
I usually just let mine set over night. Good to go the next day.
Thanks. I guess I won’t sit here watching it dry/cure then :)!
It needs air to cure and potting reduces suface area. It can take more than a day if enclosed. Leaving it in a warm place(not too hot or in the sun or it can expand) helps.
I asked this question yesterday, and as Sirius9 pointed out it should takes around 12 hours .
Hi,
Ok, thanks…
Jim
I have the same tube of Fujik glue but I think if you read the description on it regarding it being
“greaselike” , It’s been my experience that it never really sets like a silicone caulking. It remains
like a paste (or grease).
Hi,
I know that you said that you got the same tube of Fujik glue, but FYI, it’s only been several hours now since I put the 1st layer (I’ve been filling it in in layers), and it’s already somewhat hardened, about the consistency of rubber.
I also know the FT description is not very clear, but the reviews there indicate this is “glue”, and that seems to be what it is, at least the stuff that I got from FT.
The glue comes in a tube, the grease comes in a small tub. Layering sounds like a good idea.
