I’m bringing four 1aa lights and debating on bringing more. There’s an orbs of Owahu tour (maybe I misspelled that) Honolulu area
Im starting to think I should bring a small powerhouse like the EA4 along as well 
How many lights do you take on a ten day holiday?
A tiny pocket EDC normally for myself. Used to be my P5R but now I’m using the twice as small and twice as bright SC52.
Generally, a EDC of some kind that runs on a AA and a XM-L light with a C8 ish reflector.
Preon 2 in my shirt pocket, Quark Mini AA2 in my shaving kit, 4-L91s and 4-L92s in my kit as well. Wife carries a Thrunite Ti2 in her purse. Around ‘home’ (i.e. in the bush or around the farm) I always carry 18650 lights, but when travelling I tend to favor AA / AAA stuff.
We love to get cabins in remote resort areas & just chill. So we play with the lights after dark.
Too many, cause you just never know!

Normally a ZL H51 and XinTD C8. But I also usually have my ZL SC52 too, and perhaps my iTP A3 EOS if I it’s the sort of trip where I bring my keychain.
We were so busy on the islands (except the couple days of reading and sunning); I wouldn’t do much more unless you are planning on hiking off the roads much. In that case I’d want something like a C8 or similar small and a bit throwy (and spares) in case you end up going out very early or get caught out late. If one of you are carrying a daypack there should be room for something like that (that you wouldn’t mind losing).
Holiday… depends.

Local Camping trip
1 TN30 (for exploring, as well as long term low level illumination, like the tent or camp table, (this is why I NEED low lows on big torches)
2 Armytek Predators (earlier model, this is is work horse, goes swimming, gets thrown)
1 H600w (headband torch, what more needs to be said)
2 V10R Ti with lots of trits (night light)
Backyard trip
Whichever takes my fancy for the task.
