Just curious. I may not be the typical US resident.
Including the home I grew up in, I have called 6 places home. I phrase it that way as for a year in the 1970’s I called home a Bedford Dormobile with no fixed address. We moved all over Europe, 15,000 miles in that year.
Of course, one’s age should be considered. At age 75 that makes my home/age ratio of 75/6 = 12.5. We will be moving back to a place where we already lived years ago; the same house. So the ratio will sort of change, or does it?
Lisse, 18 years
Amsterdam Olympiaplein, 1 year
Amsterdam Hoogte Kadijk, 5 years
Amsterdam Javaplein, 17 years (one year during this period was spent in Leicester, England, that became almost home but not quite)
Amsterdam Waaigat, 4 years
Amsterdam *plein, 10 years
So that is 6 places in 55 years, 37 years were spent in Amsterdam.
