Ok, I will vote first. $500-$1,000 That's the loss, even after selling many mods.

Now why did you want to go and bring THAT up?!

We still have a little time to bring our totals up. Let’s all shoot for the next level!

Admitting THAT is the first step to spend less :stuck_out_tongue:

The answer is: a lot. And a lot more than what my wife thinks (shhh don’t tell her.)
And it’s more than just flashlights—lots of other EDC gear like watches and pocket knives.

Vinh alone got over $500 from me on three lights. Between lasers and flashlights I’ve spent about $2k this year…….Thanks for bringing this up and making me realize I have a slight problem

Right on the lower border of $500-1000. Most of that was start up modding equipment; even just budget gear ended up being quite an expense. Add on top of the gear, small budget flashlights, and noctigons/drivers/etc, the giant BTU Shocker was a huge addition to the total.

I think I’m done purchasing flashlights and hosts for a while, my desktop is going to collapse from all the flashlights and batteries I’ve currently got on it. I’ll probably pick up some smalls, drivers/emitters/misc for a few more mods.

I;m going to say between $50 and 60$.

It's total bullsh** ..... but thats what I'm saying.

now let’s see: you can’t just buy one light…or two…you need one small EDC and one larger more powerful EDC, than you need one headlamp and one small easy to carry powerfull flooder and one small thrower, then you must have one allround powerhouse and one dedicated big thrower and don’t get me started on the backup lights…and this is just the minimum what is absolutely “necessary” it is not our fault and it’s not luxury… J)

I’m now in the headlamp stage….it’s absolutely necessary!

I actually have no idea.
But it’s more than what was planned. Last 6 weeks alone is over 100$ at least.
I voted for 300-400 because I hope I really did not surpass that level, but I don’t want to go to my account and add the numbers! :zipper_mouth_face: It has been a year of more expensive quality lights instead of only <15$ chinese lumen rockets.
(And it’s not yet the end of the year and almost bought an EagleTac GX25A3 as a x-mas gift for myself. But it’s out of stock right now, which might not be so bad after all :stuck_out_tongue: )

But I swear I won’t buy any more!
I only want an eagletac, and maybe a skyray king or other multi emitter light…. And maybe 1 or 2 extra aaa lights… Oh, and 1 or 2 aa lights…. And maybe something with a magnetic control ring for stepless dimming… and… sigh… 2014 is gonna be an expensive year again.

Hey, lets get together and exchange the Magic 1000, gifting each other … J)
:santa: You gift me, I gift, you … :money_mouth_face:

some where around $2500

not as bad as 2012, that was…. MUCH more.

BUDGET Light Forum my ass! :p

Buying Flashlights Forum

3500$ Spent

800$ of that amount is incoming stuff.

I maxed out my paypal in september……

Thanks for saying that… Now my 1,400+ doesn’t seem quite so bad.

Having said that, now I have to go order a couple headlamps because a power outage last night made it more obvious how useful they are. There’s always another reason to buy more lights!

Aye carumba, how much space do your lights take up?
If i sold all my lights i couldn’t get $100…

I insisted buying high price flashlight, so that I don’t get too many flashlights in my house. It works for me.

Is it a monthly average value?
