You will find spam here if you know what to look for, usually appears as a period which is actually an external link.

Anyway, I just got another kitchen. I bet if we placed like 5 more difficult captchas with posts containing that word we would stop some of it.

Instead of it appearing as a set of words, its attached to a full stop, a comma, something small. Now their weblinks appear in google searches for things that are in the thread that post appears. I think. They dont care if anyone from the website clicks the link, they want google to list them in searches. It boosts their google ranking, thus improving their placement on the pages of hits related to their wares.
You dont look through the 15 pages of hits when you google something. So they want to be on page one, near the top. Google does that via its ranking system.
Or something like that.
@EF - Ok, makes sense why they want do it. I just haven’t seen an example where it was just a punctuation mark that was linked. I will keep my eye out for them and that symbol. Thanks for the tip.

Strange thing is that Tesco are a supermarket chain that only recently started selling flat-pack furniture, they don’t have any agents they sell from catalogues and in-store catalogues.
