I have a KD 2982 driver and I want to increase the output current from 1000mA to 1200mA or higher. Does anyone have any idea how to do that? Is it as simple as changing a resistor?
R250 is the sense resistor.
Adding an R100 over it?
The diode SS14 is rated 1A40V. You should replaced the diode to SS24 or SS34. The feed back voltage of this driver’s IC, AX2002 is 250mV. You can estimate the output current by this formula I = 0.25V/R.
For example the stock resister is R250, I = 0.25/0.25 = 1A. You want 1.2A, so the R should be 0.25/1.2 = R200 and the rated power of the resister should be at least 0.5W. The power dissipate of the resister W = 0.25 x 0.25 / 0.2 = 0.3125W.
