Hi Guys,
A new question, calling on your wisdom.
I have a Q8 Plus; but I put Molicell P45B batteries in it, for which I had to buy an adapter and file it down a bit.
Now, as I don’t want to do a by pass (although just in case I bought everything I need to do it), I got some Beryllium springs from Connor’s website.
But to solder them, I have to previously remove the ones that already come with the flashlight, how do I do it, what procedure to avoid damaging anything, how do I remove them?
Thank you very much,
Max.
Hi @Max2024
I think hot air/ heat gun should involve in your project, yet before procceding; I highly suggest you check out this @Tom_E 's thread regards the Astrolux EC06
( Banggood’s inhouse brand manufactured by Sofirn)
Since Sofirn release the Q8plus as their own brand with EC06 as a base, iirc there are several discussion over any changes within this light.
I have the Astrolux EC06, and it already awesome as it is with its plus and minuses. I have mine with Molicel P42a with and without Convoy’s adapter.
Hope this have useful pointer for your project.
Cheers🔦
I would recommend separating the tail-PCB from the body of the light, from there you can use hot air or a hotplate (and flux) to desolder the original springs.
Soldering the new springs might be easier with a soldering iron.
Hello,
Thank you all very much for your answers, I will take them very much into account.
Now, I see in the jumper videos, that the copper wire (besides being coated in silicone), is in one piece.
On the other hand, the ones I can find on Aliexpress, are formed by a bunch of wires of much smaller diameter.
I show you the link
I have no knowledge of electronics, so please could you send me the link to buy cables like the ones I need (in a single body not in bundles) or how should I type in the search engine because I tried to search and I get “aviation cables” and of a diameter that are not those used to make bypasses in flashlights.
Thank you very much in advance.
Regards.
Post Data,
Sorry for the title of the link in Spanish, I can read English but I have a hard time writing it properly.
