How to reflow solder an LED emitter on a PCB or MCPCB.

I’ve been using my MECHANIC IX5 Ultra(110v) for about a year and a half now and I think it heats up nearly perfectly for reflowing.
I’m very happy with mine.

Especially that thing heats up way faster than the display shows.
I have one, too.

I don’t know if the temperature display doesn’t really measure anything and just counts up in some predetermined time, or if the sensor is so far away from the heating module that it takes minutes for the material to heat up there.

for something else I also have this thing: https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005007245324160.html
And I like it way more.

Just curious. I have the 946 1010. Though it doesn’t get used that much. What is better about the one that you linked?

I’ve been using this beast for a while. I’m sure just flipping the switch on costs $3 in electricity. But it works great. It’s amazing at holding the temp right where it’s set. Though it does take a few minutes to get there.

I have one like that, but use my WEP 946D IV 100x50mm 99% of the time

Just looked that one up. Looks like a great size for flashlights.

I was talking about the MECHANIC IX5 Ultra which I don’t like.
For one, the surface on top is not entirely flat, the temperature doesn’t get very high (barely enough to solder) and the AC input is an XT Plug like on an RC Car
