How to reflow this?

Before I resigned from my department we had purchased our own turn out gear lights, the Streamlight Survivor LED series. Great light for the purpose! Was never very happy with the LED, though. Cold white Cree XPG2 from what I can see. Unfortunately its on a very proprietary mcpcb which is also riveted in place. Does anybody have a technique to reflow a different LED in place of the original? I’d be looking for a neutral high CRI 3535 like a 4000k sst-20 or the LH351D so the reflow itself should be very simple. Just not sure how to avoid drilling those rivets out- would some of the hot air setups I’ve heard of do the trick? Any suggestions if there is somebody who would like to do this mod for a reasonable charge if it requires more equipment than I have?

The rivets hold the plastic thingy too that hot air will melt, so drilling out the rivets is the way to go. Perhaps they can be replaced with screws, or you manage to attach new rivets maybe?

Yeah thats probably true… Really wanted to keep it looking unmolested.
