Hello everyone! Found this fine forum recently and wanted to join in on the fun. I’m a amateur astronomer with a penchant for adjustable flashlights with extremely low levels. This is a great site and I’m really enjoying perusing the archives.

Hi , and welcome. Lots of great stuff here . Enjoy
To all of you, thanks for the warm welcomes. Really enjoying the peripheral, sub-forums such as the rechargeable batteries and mod sections.
It’s mostly standard, star party fare. Rigel Systems Starlites, 9volt. LRI Photon Freedoms, button cell. LRI Photon Proton Pros, aa . And several Sunwayman and JetBeam rotary lights, which combined with color filters are really flexible performers. When Jetbeam discountinued the ring lights ( 2013-2014?) a ebay vendor listed them for $33.33 each :+1:
Myself, members of local astronomy club cleaned him out on the first listing day. The extreme low of the JetBeam frees me from red, courtesy, filtering. I have a red filter for the JetBeams, more because it’s expected behavior, at times, than honest need. Red light conversations are somewhat frequent at astronomy chats, especially since our club has members who are opticians
