I bought a Hugsby P21 and just love it. I read that it was water proof to around 10’ so I took it my local hot springs (100.1 degrees) and put it in the water for maybe 1/2 hour. No deeper than 4’.

Now the LED area (between the lens and the LED) is full of water. :<

Is there a way to get this compartment open without breaking the flashlight?

Sounds like the Chinese IPX rating are like their lumen ratings. That is to say they are all wet.

You can’t just zero in on the word “waterproof” with these cheap lights and hope for the best. If it only says “waterproof, okay to use on a rainy day”, etc., it’s probably not waterproof.
