I can smell North Texas Burning

Back in the oil boom days of the 70s there was a saying.
What’s the definition if a dry hole?

It’s a hole in the ground 14" across, 2 miles deep, with a liar on top.
A company would oversell the well like 3 or more times and when the hole was dry - guess who kept the money…
If it hit oil, they were in for a !@#$storm if the investors found out.
All the Best,
Jeff
Best well name I can remember from back then was.
The Wild Boys and Silver Bullets Oil Co.
#1 Riding into Hell and Back again.

As a firefighter we have been having hell here in southern arky. Seems like the more the wind blows means it is better for the morons to burn leaves in their yards. Every stinking county around us is in a burn ban but the idiot in charge here refuses to put one in effect because they keep promising rain in the next few days.

Burn?! Not heard of the benefits of composting?
Naw, that would be lame…too hard and there wouldn’t be a fire.

Just reading this today:

FTA:

In recent years, Schuyler Wight has noticed a growing number of abandoned oil wells coming back to life, gurgling fluids on the surface of his West Texas ranch.
