I Decided to Order A Fenix TK75

What a flashlight! I love that photo.

ILF -What do you think about maintaining a ongoing thread for the lights you have and purchased along with feedback? Not kidding, I know you purchased a TK75 and an ElectroLumens torch and im interested in reading your feedback? This in addition to the link on your sig, One central thread? Maybe catalogue them on the 1st page.

Well guys I figured I would let you know that I cancelled my TK75 order. I just don’t feel the need to get something I already have that won’t be as bright as my TK70. Plus I have already spent more than I wanted too this month. And there comes a time where a person needs to practice self-control. So I have to go with my better judgement.

Can’t wait to see the review. Would love to see the 70 & 75 compared…

Well Dale your gonna have to see it from somone else besides me. The post above yours I stated I cancelled my TK75 order.

OK, I’m depressed… I love spending other peoples money.

I totally understand, but why do you think the TK70 is brighter than the TK75? The latter should be brighter, maybe just a hair less throwy.

Well that’s was what I meant to say. It won’t throw like the TK70, and there’s just no need in repeating sort of what I did with the TN31 when I had the K40.

ILF, TK75 is such a beautiful light. Not owning one is incomplete for your collection. Don’t resist it. TK75 is destined to be in your hand.
It is definitely in my wanted-lights list, maybe after SR95, then I will get TK75. I am not sure SR95 can out throw TN31 or not, need more pros points to persuade myself as it is over USD400 purchase. If SR95 is standing on the way, I will not be getting other lights as I told myself other lights are noises until I get SR95.

The difference in throw shouldn’t even be noticeable (but don’t call me an enabler. :-p)

Well said…non-TK70 and K40 owners will not understand you easily. Please forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing, (this line is not my original). LOL

from their projections…. The 70 is out distancing the 75 by 110 + meters… Is that noticeable ? I truly have not a clue.

To me, getting TK70 and TN31 is reasonable as they are two different package.
Getting TN31 and K40 is not so reasonable to me as their differences is so small.
But I think TK70 and TK75 is two different package. TK75 should be closer to TN30 but with more throw.
I already own a TN30, but the throw of TK75 makes me think that they are different package, so I think it is still reasonable for me to get TK75 one day.

Thats 120 yards. So essentially the 70 is throwing a football field longer than the 75. Not to be problematic. But IMHO… That could be noticed…. Just sayin…

My point is ILf already has a TK70. So getting a TK75 will only have a marginal increase in lumens (400 lumens more from a 2200), shorter throw, very much less intense hotspot (look at review at Shoudian), the Xstar S1 has even better hotspot in that review. The TK75 looks at lot better though.

Lumens wise TK70 sure satisfy many people, but not the size and weight. That is the selling point of 3/4 18650 flashlights. Fenix has done it right though slower than other brand as they go for 4x 18650, and expandable to 12x 18650, flood as good as existing torch like TN30, but throw much better. It is definitely not a me-too product that I don’t think owning other lights make TK75 not distinctive.

ILF - Its an admirable decision you made as well as disclosing it to a bunch of flashaholics. You knew full well people here would start pressing you with fashaholic terminology enticing you further into a discussion of the would be light. The TK75 isn't going anywhere.. Besides, how the B----p did you pass up the deep discount another vendor was offering?

Thats crazy,,,,,

Im kidding...Its a flashlight,

is in stock in the uk so is the pd 32 ultimate edition should have both in my hand in two days

Interesting…… What dealer has these?

Thanks.

I tend to think not, simply because their range is so far that it diminishes visibility. So take a 200 meter C8 and put it against a 275 meter name-brand light like the TK35. Regardless of brightness, it the tail-end, you just won’t notice much difference. You then have to grab a dedicated thrower to more than double the distance to see it stand out. Same here. Distance is too far and too small to catch the eye.
