I didn't know these existed until tonight...................................

And man o’ man Henrietta, these ain’t cheap either! :open_mouth:

Ok, these are more like they belong on BLF…………….sorta. 8)

I mean you know how much they charge for stupid button cells even at WalMart. I feel like I’m being held-up to fork over my wallet whenever I ask the lady in the Jewelry Dept., for a stinking little button battery I need for an off-ball remote control or something. I think I know where 75% of WalMart’s profit is made. :cowboy_hat_face: H)

And I frickin’ cringe when the wife says…….“Honey, would you please go get batteries for these watches?” There’s like about 2 dozen in her hands. :open_mouth:

This type charger (but not coin cell holder) available in here local markets for 2$.
used as multi charger for phone batteries.

its not hard to make coin cell adapter or clips to it.

I usually order watch batteries and such from ebay. A few buck can get you 2-10 depending on brand etc

I get 3 - 2032 Cells at Dollar Tree (a true “dollar store”, everything in the store is $1). I use them in the wireless garage door keypads, stop watches, etc. Also of course for the bios on computers, but they last for years in that application.

Do you use them enough to justify the purchase of rechargables? and will you be happy with devices deep discharging them. Usually button cell devices do not have LVCs, infact are designed to use every last bit of the battery where possible.

I found 2032 batteries on Amazon, $9.99 for 50 here: Amazon.com

I found them while looking for LED tea lights: Amazon.com

I have one of those dyamino or crank lights that has an LIR2032 cell. To hook it up to a hobby charger I unsoldered a 2032 socket from a dead computer motherboard.

See why it is so hard to throw anything out?
Just yesterday I used up my last 2032 on a friends computer. A lot of old computers are thrown out because of a dead battery for the bios

BTW, an old stereo amp or motherboard is a good source of parts for MANY repairs. My wife is convinced I am a genius every time I take out a part to use as a repair. Boy, have I got her fooled!

I remember seeing them first in battery junction.

What turned me off them was the low mah rating when compared to the disposables.

I do, though it has taken me many many years to let go of the backup backup backup junk. Now I try to only keep one at a time. 8)

True!
