This thread was an interesting read. I, for one, would like to know the outcome. Nothing worst than reading a good book, and get to the last couple pages, and they are GONE!!! 
Definite scam.
Happened to my Brother when he purchased a high capacity memory card from a Chinese seller. He also received a similar coin. Can't remember the details, but he did eventually win his case.
If they send nothing, you could claim item not received, but as it stands the item is "not as described" and therefore would have to be returned to make a claim, which as we've seen is not cost effective.
agree Paypal and eBay protection such a joke at best a major hassle. fund Paypal with credit card and one call thats all to invoke purchase protection.
