…a host for a different drive and emitter? I guess I’d like any ideas for putting a smaller emitter in to make it more throwy as well as any ideas for making it a beastly flooder. I’m skilled enough to do a driver/emitter swap but when it comes to what’s what as far as what would be best for either, I am completely uneducated. I don’t know more than the basics for emitters and next to nothing about drivers. Any advice appreciated!!
Your best bet for throw is a dedomed xp-g2, and for flood you should probably look at the mt-g2, although that might require opening up the base of the reflector. What is the diameter of the driver? My brother has one, and I seem to remember it having a larger driver than the standard 17mm. The stock driver (~3a, right?) is about good for the xpg2, but you would need a different driver for the mt-g2 because of its much higher forward voltage.
