I just ordered a fw3a and someone told me they use glue???

I just ordered a fw3a and someone told me they use glue in the tail caps and bezels? I literally bought it to mod the heck out of it. This literally will kill the flashlight for me. Can some one confirm if this is true or not.

Latest batches are glued.

With this light comes a small piece of paper that tells you to open the light at the front to insert a battery. Because lots of people first unscrew the tailcap and then read the warning, glueing the tailcap isn’t such a bad decision. The tail end is (has to be) carefully assembled and then left alone. Just a matter of: “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” The front end contains the moddable bits like led’s, driver, and TIR. Have fun and knock yourself out.

Well as long as I can install remove the clip… I dont see much of an issue. I guess. unless I really hate the clickyness of it.

Ya they’re all apparently glued now. Lotta solvents that’ll take care of that once you use some heat and force to twist it open. I’m on an acetone and heptane kick right now.

The switch parts use a retaining ring, I haven’t heard of glue there. I had 1 fw1a from Ali with a glued bezel, 1 from ilumn without glue.

GOOD NEWS EVERYBODY.

It wasn’t glued… and the modding has begun… also it has the 7+1 driver.

I did a thing…

AND I might have bought 4 more… a copper fw3a, an fw1a, and fw4a, and another purple fw3a… dont look at me.

I Said… DONT LOOK AT Me…

Can anyone suggest a good lube for the threads?

Also a spring to have a nice spring?
