Except for the AA/AAA any smartphone should do.

…the problem is get this device with AA or AAA batteries….nothing in the market like this? (i hate Lithium devices!!, I want aa and aaa batteries
I can think of lot’s of things that have the radio, MP3 and AA battery, but not the speakers. Maybe you could pair it with one of those waterproof speaker “cases”?
There’s a whole range of fairly modern devices on ebay that are small, have the radio, clock and mp3 player, but they all have li-ion batteries now, either phone batteries or an 18650. There may still be one or two on AA’s if you look for it.
I have several devices that meet 4 requirements … but always missing something:
sometimes the speaker and I have to use an external one, sometimes AA and AAA and have to use Lithium (I have to be aware of recharging … ), others lack mp3 ….
I thought today, I will ask in the BLF, if there, do not give me an answer, it means that this device does not exist …. :cry:
Just because its not on BLF does not mean its not there. We specialize in flashlights, not mp3 players
BTW why not buy a lithium one that has a removable battery then run it off some AAs, use a linear driver and a 4AA case like this and a home made connector (or use the USB)
maybe something marketed as a shower radio would meet all the requirements?
You can get these but instead of the MP3 player it would have an AUX?
Maybe seek counseling to get over your hatred of lithium devices…

Can you change the battery from rechargeable lithium to normal cells?
Its not much to ask for but every time you change the batteries you will lose the time and your alarm settings? If its a digital tuner also you will lose your stations?
Sorry to spam your post but the other issue is if you use things like an alarm and sleep function its going to drain power constantly and it will most likely have an LCD so it will use even more power. I think you should be able to get a radio where you put batteries in but it still has its own built in battery.
A $30 smart phone at Walmart will do that. Its not running off aa but don’t worry it won’t hurt you. Going through piles of alkaline cells just pollutes the environment more. A rechargable lithium battery could replace 1000+ batteries you’d throw away or recycle.
you are looking for a portable FM radio. They do exist for applications like:
- camping
- bicycles
- general sports/outdoor activity
- the newer models even have a SD card slot
meets all the requirements and can be fairly small or also bigger if you wish. AA cells with smaller devices. Have seen them on eBay and aliexpress but will look for them again.
costs less than 12-15$ afaik
and sleep function is available in this? Please one link!
