I want to make a direct drive flood light

If I use one of those Chinese LED flood lights as a base can I rip out the cob (currently a 30w cool white POS) and replace with an array of others to give a decent output?

Cooling I can always work around, perhaps adding a fan.

I was thinking of using a 12v power supply, maybe a PC supply to get the required power with decent voltage tolerance and a reasonable price.

Will this work? Perhaps as many of these as I can fit in the case in parallel?

Banggood led cob

Edit;
This is the base for modding…

They look like a decent price at the moment so I’ll grab a few. How are you driving them?

That’s good news, I’d like to run it off of a 12v battery connected to a solar charger at times so knowing it will handle an alternator output of a vehicle is useful.

I did think about putting a power resistor inline but that would consume power and if running from solar I want it as efficient as possible, not so important off of PC supply tho.
