See the title. I never use the 18350 tube that I bought so I decided to see what happens when I heat treated it (like some people do to their convoys). All I did was hold it in the flame of a gas burner on my stove for a few minutes until it turned this pretty golden-brass color.
Looks nice. Why does it change color like that?
The dyes used to make different colors break down/change when exposed to high heat, causing colors to change, varying with the amount of heat applied.

Is that the grey color originally? It makes a nice contrast like that. Might have to try that on my D1S, or buy a D1 to try it on. :smiling_imp:
