Just wanted to let people know if they bought something last weekend they will have vouchers waiting for them now.
I have already some of the balloons and they are fun to use, a led and two coin batteries in a plastic carrier which is fixed inside the balloon.
I have just soldered a cr123 and a switch to one of the oldLEDs and try using this in a big helium balloon, I hope it will we light enough to float and light up forever…
I have the impression it will be ongoing as the ex DX rep is no longer a rep and organizes the weekend deals as her full time job, I could be wrong though. I can’t ask because they have 7 days holiday as of today so unless there is a staff member answering the forums there we will find out next week.

This idea came from the fact that I wanted to recycle the led and that I had the trustfire cr123 laying around which came with the mini 01 or so…
The coin cells L736,have 16mAh and light for more than a day so the cr123 should give a month light and then some month of glowing. I plan these for a child gift.
To let it flow away is not so spectacular like you might imagine it…I have done it once and it gets smaller and smaller and after a minute you can’t see it anymore….but for let it fly I used one which has the heavy part on the nozzle and blinks
But I am not sure if it will float as it is quite heavy and has the heaviest part on the head…I will try it tomorrow with a 16” round…and if it doesn’t float it still is a neat nightlight or so…
I asked DX and they told me its a long term activity, so it will be ongoing until they announce otherwise.
I read into it more, they give away $5000 worth of gift cards every weekend and if there isn’t enough people participating then the left over goes on top of the next weekends giveaway vouchers.
