If you had $75 to spend at Amazon...

I ended up with a $75 gift certificate from Amazon the other day, and am not sure what to get. I love the Olight M20 series...but the XM-L version isn't available thru Amazon. There are similar lights by Eagletac, Fenix, Thrunite etc. I don't have any real requirements, this is just a guilt-free xmas splurge you could say. Not interested in HID at all, and I'd like something of a higher quality brand, such as those listed...I have more Ultrafires than I can shake a stick at. My limit doesn't have to be $75, I can certainly add some $$, but I'd like to keep it within reason. What would you do??

If you like the Olight M20, the Eagletac T20C2 MkII is very similar and has an XML. It also comes with a lifetime warranty, and the light modules can be upgraded for around $28 when the next latest and greatest comes out.

It also comes with a very nice holster and lanyard. I love mine. It is available in a neutral XML also.

I'd spend that GC on things (non-flashlight) you would normally buy in a store, and then use the $75 in your pocket to buy a light from wherever you want. :) Amazon has just about everything in the world, except the light you are looking for. LOL

Lol, that's a great theory and I've done that before, but it always seems to get absorbed into the daily budget and I end up with no new toy :( Thanks for the input on the Eagletac...I have a D25c mini and love it...hmmm..

Ammo if amazon carries it.

+1

I would buy some of the stuff on my wish list like books and and stuff that is heavy and get the free shipping over $25 all at once.

But I get it soytnly, an extra $75 in my pocket would end up in the pizza shop or the bar...

I can handle $ well but when one ends up with a surplus things go horribly wrong

/ head scratch.

How about a JetBeam PA40 ? I love mine. 468 ANSI lumen on rechargeable AAs.

It's worth the extra five bucks, IMO.

Personally, I'd be buying a Kindle. The "special offers" ad-supported version is $79, which is ridiculously cheap compared to what you would have had to pay for a way inferior eReader just a year ago. If you like to read, it's easily the best purchase in my book (no pun intended).

I have the 3G version and I use to look up stuff all the time. My smartphone only gets a little over a day on a charge and anything I can do on the Kindle doesn't eat into my phone's battery life. And with 3G and WiFi off, I can easily go a month on a single charge.

If you're set on only getting a flashlight from Amazon then I second the PA40 suggestion. The price is actually competitive with all the major flashlight shops, foreign and domestic. That's a light I'd like to own.
