Illuminated pet collar and/ or harness to help locate the dog, cat, gf or whatever. Let’s get a review, ideas and suggestions thread going. -LED Headlights area in the forum seemed to best fit the bill.
Recently at dusk in a local park I was impressed by the sight of a hound emitting eerire green glow from a harness which as far as I could tell comprised of a continuous electroluminescent band rather than strip of individual led’s.

I can recommend these: http://www.leuchtie.com/
Pretty overpriced for the parts used, but they’re indestructible, bright and you have 3 years of warranty. I think even after this time you still get free service depending on what happened.
Ours is 8 years old now and still going strong.
My profile pic is my dog wearing a NiteIze Nite Howl. I like it a lot, but it’s not waterproof and it takes stupid little button cells. If someone made a water resistant model that took an AAA or AAA cell at a reasonable price, I’d snap that right up.
You probably saw a dog wearing the NoxGear LightHound.

The ones I posted are waterproof. My dog lost his in the river and I had to retrieve it. :+1:
Those things look great - they’re sold under glowdoggie here in Canada. I have a hard time spending $55 when my $20 light works fine for everything except swimming, though.

I use one of these clipped onto her harness.
Fenix CL05 (lipstick). Three colors (RGWh), two intensities (L,XL), blinkie on white.
For about $20 you get a very waterproof little AAA light you can attach to the collar.
Don’t use it with a dachshund, because it drags the light over the ground :person_facepalming:
Unfortunately it is out of stock with most sellers.

My Shih Tzu has this light. The neighbors love the action.
It twinkles red, white, and blue.
Just clip it on her collar when we go out at night.

Video of one like in action:
Very Cool, thank’s a bunch for posting this! I just ordered the 28”Ultra SAR Glowdoggie collar for Kodi, he is going to go nuts over it, he is a true Canine Flash-o-Holic

I doubt he is ever going to give up his LUXPRO AA light he got for his 2nd Birthday….

What about a regular AAA light like a Glaree, with diffuser cap?
Or that PlayFox doodad with 3 colored caps? Think that was AAA, also.
Awwww! I remember him from back when he was OpenElec.

IMO dogs move too much and are too active to have a real flashlight attached to them .you can snap lots of small lights to their collar . think i had my nitecore tip and lumintop tool on the dog But it’s like having a sweater on your dog or an Oscar Meyer Weiner costume on your Dachshund…it just makes both you and them look stupid . kind of like people walking at night all lit up with leds so cars don’t hit them ….maybe just don’t walk in the street
maybe a nice diamond and trit studded collar for Mr Buttons

They are a good idea for some applications like taking your dog for a walk down the street.
Since I am always on the trail and have multiple lights, I do not have any use for them although more illumination would not hurt for last bathroom break b/4 bed!
SDminiVN,plenty of light to light up CAPO and Mr. Fox!

Any updates? I’m thinking of getting a light up collar for night walking. I’ve noticed a few on amazon, under the brand Bseen. But not sure if the quality is like. Might just splurge for the one linked above.
I got a set of “keychain lights” from Sofirn / 77Outdoor for ~10bux (4pak) that work nicely. Ring of COB LEDs, high/low/strobe/off, lock-shaped, would hook onto any loop/ring on the collar.
Barry @ Sofirn posted an Amazon link with code recently, forgot what thread.
Still going strong! No issues at all.

Good to hear. I may be placing an order shortly for my border collie. Also named Kodi.
