Im a noob so please take it easy.

I am in search for a bright green led light that i can attach to a rifle for hunting. Can someone tell me where I can get it and which on would be best? I am not looking to build one. thank you in advance for your help.

Haven’t tried this myself but should be plenty bright if you can accept the size.

flomotion, i am looking for more of a led light, but thank you for your help.

fonzeka, i checked out the hs802. looks good. just want to make sure there is nothing else brighter. do you know of any others?

does anyone know anything about the uf900? is it the same at the hs802?

i am trying to find something like the following link but not at that price. is the hs802 the same thing?

This could be exactly what you are looking for:
http://www.manafont.com/product_info.php/ultrafire-uf762-flashlight-tube-bulitin-firearm-mount-no-led-emitter-p-8676

Together with a green drop-in, this one for example:
http://www.manafont.com/product_info.php/taiwan-3w-green-light-dropin-module-42v-max-p-5700

or this one:
http://www.manafont.com/product_info.php/generic-green-beam-mode-led-dropin-module-3718v-p-7804

although I don’t know how bright these drop-ins are, both got good reviews on manafont.
…and if you dont like them because you don’t like the beam or the color or the brightness, you can still get one of the huge selection of “white” drop-ins (different beams, different tint’s, brightnesses, even custom made ones to your liking from forum members for not much $ ) and still have an awesome gun light.
Or both of course.

I don’t know for sure, but it’s possible that the one in your link can’t do much more as the two cheap options.
It claims 230 lumen (what is not that much actually compared to “white ones”) and uses the same battery then the two budget options, odds are the HS802 and the one I posted do the same, depending on the LED used.

The problem with this p60 based Ultrafire is it won’t have the tight throw of the HS-802. It will be fairly floody and not very useful for varmint hunting.

The HS-802 is the exact same light as the expensive setup coyb linked to. Lightmalls seems to be a reputable place to get one from according to many members here.

I almost forgot! Welcome to BLF, Coyb!! Happy to have you here.

I have purchased a couple of the green Drop-ins from Manafont and I got different products. One was a true XR-E emitter that was very nice, but the other was a XR-C emitter which is a much smaller die with much less light. A P60 may not be what you are looking for though. These may tend to be floodier than a light with a wider reflector. The UniqueFire HS-802...

...is a very nice light with a deep reflector, little spill, and a very focused hotspot. I've never used the green emitter version from Manafont, but I've bought the standard white-emitter version for others and they have been great lights for compact throwers. If you can mount it using something like this...

...it may work well. I don't know if that type of mount will give enough clearance for the larger diamter flashlight head though...

What caliber/range are you hoping to use this at? Recoil might be an issue with some higher powered rifles.

If you are comfortable with jumping in and assembling your own hardware, I used a C8-sized light, the Dongui ALL920:

http://www.manafont.com/product_info.php/cree-q5-260lumen-3mode-led-flashlight-black-18650-p-8737

...and replaced the emitter with a green XR-E...

http://www.manafont.com/product_info.php/generic-cree-green-beam-led-flashlight-emitter-p-9099

...and got a very nice light with very throwy/focused beam. I'm overdriving it slightly with a 4x 7135 Nanjg 105c driver (I just removed four of the 7135s from a driver I had), but here's one that's already configured properly:

http://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10001686/1122401-4-amc7135-2-group-35-modes-led-flashlight-driver-n

I've never mounted this on a rifle so I don't know how it would stand up to recoil. I would probably use a single-mode driver at the absolute least to prevent recoil from making it change modes on me.

thank you all for your help and thank you for the welcome to the forums.

i am looking to use the light as a scan light so i prob wont have it mounted to the rifle much. i might use it on it every now and then on my ar15.

i need a light with a long throw and a pretty focused beam.

keltex78 would you build me one? lol

Sure; PM me if you are serious. Your location says Texas, where about are you? Deep-Woods North-East here...
