Wait, what is the average rated life of these components? Are they going to fail before the LEDs reach the end of their "usable" life?
So, we won't live long enough to wear them out, but from a practical side, but how do we know. I mean in the best of conditions, that's one thing, but we know some of these parts are poorly assembled, perhaps forgeries, who knows what else that will shorten their useful life.
IDK, just led me to think that knowing how to repair or mod our lights, would be a good skill to acquire.
I would think switches would fail sooner, maybe driver boards next and theoretically the LED last.
With some basic repair or modding skills, some of these lights could last decades!

Switches and electrolytic capacitors would probably be the first things to go. If the uC it has uses flash memory to store what mode it is in that may also fail after a *high* number of re-writes.
I have killed a uC on one of those multi mode boards, but after bridging power to the AMC's it still works as a single mode board.
