I'm not super impressed with my solarforce warrior's output

I love the looks and styling. The dual switch is awesome and I love the mode options. Ramping and hidden strobe are cool too. Its my first soup can and multi emitter light, but I can’t help but think that this light should put out more lumens. Am I missing something here?

What are you comparing it to?

It’s not bad for a stock light…as most stock lights… the factory never want to push it hard, they more concern about the reliability than performance, btw if this your first multiple light, how do you know this light is not bright enough?
I hope you’re not comparing it to C8

I have a c10 but this blows it away. I guess it would be unfair to compare its output to a j18?

The batteries can make a bit of difference, as well. Fully charged and capable of at least 3 amps comfortably each.

Yes. Fully charged Panasonic’s.

Err… it’s like comparing grape to watermelon

LOL. Ok.

Do you have a link, I didn’t know Solar Force had a soup can light.

i think he meant solarstorm?

Think he means SolarStorm Warrior. It's not generally considered a soup can light - it's slimmer, more unique - only 3 cells and 2 e-switch's.

Ah, makes sense. Thanks

I have this very light. Love it. King output, with better versatility and grip, plus throwier. I, too, would like to know what the OP is comparing it to.

Sorry. Yes, I did mean solarstorm. Btw, one of my Panasonic cells was going bad causing a voltage drop. Replaced it with a confirmed good cell and now seem to have much better output. I’m also a bit biased because I’m a thrower guy. This light does have decent throw but much more flood.

Yes, it’s a floody light, like all soup can lights, or any light with small shallow reflectors. The only reason they can sometimes throw ok, is because they are modded for high output, for massive amounts of lumens and even then… Comparing it with an SRK would be better.

Think I need to get a btu shocker.

Well focused light appears brighter to our eyes that’s why Warrior may appear dimmer than it really is. BTU Schocker will change that for sure J)

It's such an unwieldy and impractical light, but yes, you need to get it.

I get mine out about once a week. Light the living room ceiling/walls on fire with turbo and then step outside and blind the 200yd trees... Worth every penny.

Are you aware you can update the thread title so it says solarSTORM instead of solarFORCE.
