After having such great luck with my YEZL 38/50watt HID I got from rikr on here in a trade, and even though I have a 75watt on the way, I am thinking about pulling the plug for a 85watt one as well. I’m really liking the YEZL HID and how it throws. I love that light for the short amount of time that I have owned it. Now the only thing I regret is waiting so long to finally get a HID light. Now I just got to have more. I now know what I have been missing. LOL!
So what do you guys think? Will there be much difference in a 85watt vs a 75watt HID to justify buying the 85watt one?
Jump too 100 watts you know you want too (peer pressure) LoL I’m terrible
If the 75watt and 85 watt are in the same size head, I don’t know that there would be a lot of difference. Sure it may have an extra 1000 lumens (if the battery can push the bulb and ballast hard enough) but its 1/8 increase and may only be visible in a side by side view (if the host is the same)
If 85 watts is the most powerful hid for under a hundred dollars, I say go for it.
You could always sell the one that is less bright orrrrrrr ask ma_sha to mod it
Careful who your buying HID’s from, the ones I ordered dec 3 I got emails from eBay about
Pearlharbor seller has vanished and zhjhu009 has lost 9% on feedback
YUP… you and me got scammed through Pearharbour88… i thought something was fishy regarding the seller and the prices, but my “lumen lust” got the best of me and plus i thought ebay got my back, so why worry? |(
well…. i’m in the middle opening the case with e-bay and trying to get my money back
hopefully i can get my money back and this time i’ll make sure i’ll order from reputable dealer… even if it going to cost few more $$
this is the part that worry me… ebay fine print
“Remember, eBay Buyer Protection doesn’t cover fraudulent charges or most cases of buyer remorse. Also, items must be purchased on the U.S. eBay.com website to qualify for eBay Buyer Protection coverage, and are covered for 45 days from the date of payment. Purchases made on Half.com and classified listings on eBayclassifieds.com or eBay.com, or items purchased on the eBay Digital Music Center aren’t covered. Generally, you must pay for the item in one lump sum to be covered.”
i wonder… since the guy advertised in UK ebay and Australia ebay… does that mean we’re still covered?
I have a 85w HID (ebay one but same as yezl i suppose). Bought a 4300k bulb as the stock one was more like 6000k.
If i would buy a HID now i would buy a firefox III because although the light is amazing it’s size isn’t practical
