I have seen in AE, that there is a lens for the Convoy Z1; and I remember it said something like ‘‘it is not a simple spare part’’ and although it did not say it explicitly implied that it is better than the factory one, that is to say to improve the flashlight. Is it really so? if so, could someone pass me the link? because what I find is simply that they sell a lens, not that it is better. I was looking at optical websites and found some but they cost several hundred dollars, I don’t mean those. The flashlight lights well without technical gimmicks, but if it can be improved at low cost?

The Z1 lens is small enough, and the LED used in it large enough, that even the best lens in the world won’t make a noticeable difference in either output (transmission efficiency) or throw (image quality). The stock lens is quite good.

When they say these things I know they are full of crap. When it really improves, seller will tell you exactly why. the only thing that can improve is coating, but even then it is no more than couple of percent more light is getting thru, you will never see it with a naked eye.

Thank you very much for your answers, QReciprocity42 and alpg88, very good contributions from the technical point of view. The only thing left for me then is to continue to enjoy it, it can be seen from far away, in green color, despite its size.
